Pachanga or Charanga music is traditionally known as a fusion of son montuno and merengue and has inspired a dance is a must-know in the arsenal of every Salsa dancer. Popularized by the great Eddie Torres from his own fascination with James Brown, Pachanga is all about getting down and gettin’ funky. As you grow your Salsa dancing skills, Pachanga is a secondary skill that you’ll absolutely love learning and adding to your skills.
MMA will set your foundation up with the core movements and steps that you’ll need to succeed in learning how to dance Pachanga. Our 5-week essentials intensive will have you feeling and lookingfunky in no time!

It can be frustrating to learn a bunch of steps and feel like you don’t have the movement to know how to ‘dance’ the steps you’re learning. In other words, you haven’t focused to much on style. Pachanga, by its very nature, is a stylish dance that will help you know how to create a smooth bounce in your knees and steps. The bounce is a crucial aspect of Salsa dancing and one which has a huge impact on the way you look when you dance. Work on your bounce in this class!

MMA is working on covering all of the bases. We can help you educate your feet with shines and technique. We can also help you learn how to become a better lead or follow in partner dancing. Now, we can help you develop your personal style by offering you a stylish way to learn new steps that have technique built into the basic movement! Class day and time?
Our Pachanga Essentials is a special Intensive and will take place on happens every Tuesday in March from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. It is a week progressive session so sign up and get ready to dance!

How do you pay for class?
This class is a MMA Intensive which will change on a month to month basis. These Intensives are closed sessions which will focus on a key component of Salsa Dancing.
What Level Should I be?
It’s best to be at an Advanced Beginner/Intermediate level before you try the class. We want you to be challenged and to feel confident about your dancing.
