In our beginner and Advanced Beginner Salsa Bootcamps, we purposely repeat the fundamentals over and over again so our students feel confident in their understanding of Salsa ‘on2.’ Now that your foundation is rock solid, we can get moving! Be ready to dance, challenge your mind and body and break a sweat.

More Complex Shines

If you’ve seen your favorite Salsa performers light up a stage with fancy footwork, here’s your chance! Since you already have a strong foundation of shines in your repertoire, you can now work on learning even more challenging and funky footwork patterns! Be ready to challenge your memory and coordination!

Complex Partner Combos

There’s an old saying that first you must learn the rules in order to break them. Here is where we start putting that saying to the test! We will introduce more advanced combinations that break the conventional mold and open up your dancing! Leads and follows will be challenged with even more demanding patterns!

Master Instructor

Del Dominguez is a 5-time champion dancer with over 16 years experience teaching, training and performing all around the world. 

He, along with Laura Flores co-founded Mixed Motion Art Dance Academy with the goal of helping to increase the level of Chicago’s Salsa scene.  Over the past TEN years, they have made huge strides in making that vision a reality. 

Del has established himself as one of Chicago’s premiere instructors with a reputation for a technical yet fun teaching style which helps his students grow.

Del will be assisted in class by either Denisse Aldana or Layla Bastar from the MMA Professional Dance Company.

HOW LONG IS THE CLASS?

Class will begin weekly starting on March 4th and run from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.  Each Bootcamp is 90 minutes every week for 8 whole weeks. You will learn more advanced basics and set yourself up for future dancing success!

WHAT KIND OF SHOES SHOULD I WEAR?

We recommend flexible shoes that are comfortable to wear. Since it is a 90 minutes class, we want you to be cozy! Just make sure the shoes are supportive and won’t stick to the floor, for example, gym shoes.

WHAT CLOTHES SHOULD I WEAR?
Comfortable and casual clothes are a must! We expect to work you out so make sure you don’t come too dressed up! Of course we’ll be having a great time, but prepare to work!
ARE THERE MAKEUP CLASSES?
Great question! We understand life happens so if you miss a class, we’ve got you covered! We provide video recaps of every weeks material on the included Private Facebook Group so you can practice at home and never get left behind!
